Artificial love

by Lesslovedthanloathed   Oct 23, 2008

His heart beats in sync with the rain,
Her heart aches for him in vain.
She weeps diamond droplets,
Pitter patters of a young lover's pain.

He pretends he doesn't love her,
She pretends the words don't hurt her.
He hides behind his lies,
He just wanted to dry her eyes.

They'd give anything to be happy.
They'd give everything to stay together.
Lovers, they dream of an artificial love,
Without the tears the lies or pain.

A love like we share is hard to come by,
this bond we hold is stronger than it seems,
Weakened by jealousy and anger,
We'll just mend the broken strings together.

To my darling of 20.5 weeks (8 July)
I love you :D Even though it doesn't make sense, I wrote this poem thinking of you~

This poem really touched me because I understand exactly how it feels. I could relate so well. It also helped that the flow and the word usage in this poem were AMAZING!

Wow, these lines just... really reached my heart. Because I know EXACTLY what this feels like. (Being a guy and all)

Very sentimental piece for me... 5/5

Great poem, I really liked it. I can relate to. The flow was great as well as the word choice. 5/5 I see nothing wrong with it.
