The Stranger

by May   Oct 26, 2008

For who I wonder,
As tears fall down his eyes,
Hiding in a corner,
Nobody seems to realize...

Black deep eyes,
Misted with tears,
A drunk woman with bare feet and raged clothes came along,
Shoved him to go along...

That's his mother,
In my guess,
With the same black hair,
With the same black eyes...

No words, no denial, no argue nor rage,
He stood up all but five feet tall,
Knowing he can't refuse,
His weak skinny legs start to move, trying hard not to fall...

For who I wonder,
He's living for,
Why I wonder,
Are those eyes filled with fear...

Too many questions,
Too many left unanswered,
God please answer my prayers,
And bless this boy whom I don't know and take away what he feared...

Days later, in the street I saw him took a step back,
Facing the same woman he refused, he said no,
To his mother he demand his life back,
Saying it is time for him to go...

The drunk woman with bare feet and raged clothes,
Cried as if she lost her soul,
She let go of her boy quietly but with tears,
Telling him to go, she want to stop his cries...

He was put up for an adoption,
His new parents give him nothing but love,
I watch as he grow alive again,
Starting anew I guess it's time...

Thank you lord above for answering my prayer,
For giving him the courage to stand up for himself,
To wipe away his tear and erase his fear,
And a chance to love and be loved....

Finding it hard to believe,
This is me,
Sending prayers to up above,
For the happiness of a stranger on a street and it actually made me smile...
