Breaking Down

by a broken smile with a broken heart is a poets life   Oct 27, 2008

I hyperventilate
I want to scream my lungs out
But my voice box has been broken for years.
I'm suffocating in this happy world.
I'm f u c k i n g dying when you're laughing.

Take this pain away.
I'm dying.
Tell me what's going on with me.

I'm trying not to break.
But I'm tired of all this.
Just take this heart that barely beats
Take it and throw it away.

All the s h i t I've tried to do
You only laugh and tell me what a pathetic fool I am.
In my dreams you take me in your arms.
Soothe my fears with your hand.
But when I'm awake you finish taking every thing I have.
