I called mamma up last night
And she asked me if I was ok
And even though its not I told her everything was alright
I told her to tell my friends Ill see them in the fall
To tell grandma that I loved her and I would give her a call
And then I told her to tell daddy that I'm still his little girl
And then I told her to remeber me
Remember that pony tailed girl
That was gone in a blink of an eye
That left the clothes in the washer and the book on the lawn
Even though I knew she had already forgotten.
The bills on the counter that I couldn't pay
Kept remining me of that fatal day
