Daddy told me

by Jessica   Nov 1, 2008

Daddy told me
I ain't worth a lick
When it comes to brains I have the short end of the stick.
Daddy said
I got my head up in the clouds
Never gonna make him proud.
He said
Too pretty for your own good
Never gonna find a man
Daddy told me
Your too stubborn
And you aren't worth a penny.
And now I'm fiannly starting to belive him...
I'm fiannly thinking....
I ain't worth a lick

My goodness, how can a dad says this to his own child. Anyway it's amazing how painful words can slip out of the mouth of the one we care so much about. Some people ignore that words are like a weapon. I can tell you that never stop believeing in yourself. Some day you'll be whatever you wants to be, but before you must believe in yourself.
