Boo Boo

by A Phoenyx in Flight   Nov 5, 2008

When I was younger
I could never say Voo Voo
The Portuguese word for grandfather.
I tried and I tried but I just couldn't do it.
Instead I said Boo Boo.

Every one thought it was cute.
So from then on my grandfather
was known as Boo Boo.
We were so close when I was young.
He spoiled me rotten.

But now that I am a a teen,
we are not as close ass we once were.
He is closer to my little brother.
But I don't really mind.
He knows I love him dearly.

Well today was his best friends funeral.
They were like brothers him and Pete.
I didn't go but I know he was very sad.
I saw him on Monday and even though he didn't show it.
I know he was crying on the inside.

So I just want to write this little poem.
To tell Boo Boo how much I love him.
And that I'm always here to give him a hug.

(This is to my grandfather. I love you.)
