Whisper's Song

by Jenna Rose Kat   Nov 10, 2008

Stand up, soldier,
But this isn't war,
The bombs will fall,
The drama of my life,
Push me a little farther,
Prod me a little more,
This isn't war,
But my tears are
My battle cry.

Don't cry, little one,
It's been harder before,
But how can I get through?
Things never go right,
I always mess up.
This isn't the time for child's play,
It's the time to prepare for life.

Keep your chin up,
And hope for a brighter day,
I try not to struggle,
But I'm strangled,
Twisted up in ropes of sorrow,
One day I can free my wings,
And show the world the beauty
It's corrupted all this time,
With a thing called "Life."

Girl, don't give up.
