The sun rises early to start a brand new day.
I open my eyes to see you and everything's okay.
My heart's no longer shattered, my eyes no longer cry.
You gave me a reason to be, another shot at life.

I run my fingers through your hair and whisper my love.
You are my saving angel, my gift from up above.
I feel your breath on my neck, sending shivers down my spine.
My heart races faster for this love of ours is divine.

You're my whole world, the reason that I still breath.
You're my heart and the only thing that I love about me.
You're the words when I don't know what to say.
You're the hand I want to hold until the end of my days.

And in this world that doesn't understand my sorrow,
You're the reason I go on and face the cruel tomorrow.
And in this empty world of judgemental accusations,
You give me my thoughts, my brilliant inspiration.

And how long has it been since I could really smile?
Until you came along I lived in such denial.
Now here you are beside me, your skin touching mine.
I feel such happiness, you make my smile shine.

So I take a deep breath and close my tired eyes.
Only to awake to a day where I can face this life.
As long as you are with me, as long as your heart beats,
This cruel world's battles I know I can defeat.
