Remember Me, When...

by Nonna   Nov 15, 2008

Remember me when she ask about your past
Tell her what we had, never meant to last

Remember me when you first go out
Tell her you love her without a single bit of doubt

Remember me when she calls you her life
Don't you ever cause her any kind of strife

Remember me when you hold her hand
And when things go wrong, try to understand

Remember me when she sheds her first tear
And whenever she needs you, please stay near

Remember me when you kiss her good night
Keep her smiling and hold her tight

Remember me when you look at her eye
Please,don't leave her wondering why

And remember me when you broke her heart
Tell her you're sorry, smartly play your part

The truth behind your lies, she will never know
Just another girl you will forget, once you let her go

    Hello..
I really liked the idea of this piece..it's so true for guyz, haha !
I only have one small criticism
"Tell her what we had never meant to last"
I think you should put a comma after had..like
"Tell her what we had, never meant to last"
I thought it was kinda hard to understand.

Even though the rhyming words were cliche..your idea strengthened the rhyme and it was very powerful.
when I first read this poem, came to my mind that this might be a mother talking to her ex husband, telling him to never break their child's heart..but the ending wasn't convenient to my thought, lol

But this was good, just don't push the rhyme too hard next time and it'll come out perfect :)
