Laugh at me

by Manders   Nov 25, 2008

I'm that girl sitting alone
wrists bleeding, tears streaming
on my own
and you're the one who just walks by
never stops to see
if I'm alright
I see the smiles
when you look back
and I can hear you
when you point and laugh
I sit here
tears on my face
what did I do
to deserve this pain

Walking through the halls
man, those lockers hurt
first you, then him, and finally her
you can beat me up
and push me around
but I ain't never
gonna back down

Why do you laugh at me
cuz I ain't got a home
Why laugh at me
cuz I'm on my own

You always have a place to sleep
that's warm and safe at night
you always get enough to eat
and you don't have to fight for your life
you don't have to fight to stay alive

You see that cold hard ground
that's my bed tonight
You feel the wind blowing around
that's what I have to fight
You see that snow falling down
that's my blanket tonight
I have to fight every night
just to stay alive

So why do you laugh at me
cuz I don't have a home
why laugh at me
cuz I'm on my own
Don't laugh at me
it's not fair
for you to laugh at me
cuz no one cares.
