Monthly Poems

by David ODonnell   Nov 27, 2008

This was my attempt at getting my ex back by sending her a poem every 1st of the month but I realised that it would take a year to get her back and she wouldnt wait that long so I stopped writing in April

JANUARY

It begins as if a tale of love and lust along a trail
Once gracefull smile upon your eyes and lips so soft and gentle sighs
Cheeks that bloom of rosey red as lovely thoughts run to your head
Curious dreams, you bite your lip that lonely heart you can't equip

Cheeky smile with tongue in cheek, a message of love that isnt bleak
Remembering words like mayonaise that leave you flusted and in a haze
Its not suppose to make sense now but it'll leave you guessing how
Your favorite sauce that works so great and fits any meal on any plate

This poem is one of twelve you see, as you'll be recieving each monthly
The first you have in January but the second comes in Febuary
And as the time and days move on and hopefully the words grow strong
Just like me as I write this now untill the end when I take my bow.

FEBUARY

Time moves slow when wanted fast but then these moments never last
So it's up to me to make them plenty rather than writing a poem thats empty
I give you time spent at its best like revising hard for a history test
These poems bring you more than rhymes as you'll find out with ten more times

You grace the world with what you've got now lets admit it, thats quite alot
Your smart and funny and sexy to boot and when you sigh "Oh my god thats so cute!"
I'de turn back time to see you smile and keep you happy if for awhile
But those are sentimental dreams that never work like get rich schemes

Instead there are some ways that make a girl feel happy and hard to break
But not like you as your already there as your secret admirer, I'll always care
The best is knowing whats yet to come but you'll have to wait and chew some gum
Cause one more month has yet to start and display more feelings from in my heart

MARCH

Another month has passed you, yet you look so great and happy
But prehaps inside its slightly different as you could be feeling crappy?
Im here to say that what you're dealt is no more than what you're given
And that you got your life in order and it is worth while livin

I long to hold your hand and walk upon a grassy hill
Lay beside you and watch the stars untill you catch a chill
I'll lend you my coat and warm you up and keep you nice and snug
And freeze my balls off looking charming but its worth it for your hug

As you grow I'll let you know with every month that comes
I think the world of you, you know no matter what becomes
So now you have to wait again for one more letter in line
I hope I am not boring you, I'll send a funnier one next time!

April

Easter time's upon us and we all know what that means
Too much chocolate in our tummies and we won't fit in our jeans
If you knew what kind of chocolate that I like, the kind that I like most
Not what you think but still quite close is chocolate spread on toast

I had a thought of you today just munching on some cake
Chocolate sauce all on your fingers and as you are going to bake
Your bread is nice and pizza too but theres nothing like a bun or two
Specialy yours as their firm and round and by god they are worth every pound

I hope you're well and feeling great and don't eat too much sweets
They say that eating too much chocolate makes you blow off the sheets
And anyway I've gotta run but writing this letter was lots of fun
Can't wait till May to write a ton of lovely things to say to you hun!
