The Sneaking Dawn

by The Angel of Secrets   Nov 30, 2008

From childhoods birth,
On mother's holy earth.
I walked alone,
With a soul unknown.

In autumns golden bliss,
No one knew life like this.
I saw what no one dared to see,
I were what no one dared to be.

In his eyes I found a sneaking dawn,
But before I knew it, it was gone.
I realized, with him, I had left my heart,
And we would forever be apart.

I cared again, but never like this,
Because the darkness made the light dismiss.
I never loved, I almost died,
For all the tears I never cried.

While you were kissed,
By a sweetheart missed.
I carried a heart of stone,
Because I loved alone.
