The Shattered Family

by Common Sense   Nov 30, 2008

Everyday tasks become so mundane
Only there to ease the pain
But not taking it from the mind
Only one thought is defined

The family's changed forever
Their eyes a blank stare
She was so young
It just wasn't fair

Numbed and exhausted
What's done is done
What a waste, what and end
The cold trigger of a gun

She did it to herself, but it wasn't her fault
The day after her birthday brought her life to a halt
She shocked and she tumbled a family broken,
This is death's final token

It's over now, there's the end of the fight
To their dismay, to their pain's delight

There is no sorry, there is no prayer
A casket clamps their hopeless despair

Good job. Very good work. Now what i dont get is if your this good at poetry why hurl insults at someone who you assume sucks rather than help them be better not the signs of a genious but a self rightious... lets leave it at that...yes i know(i speeled it wrong on pour-pose)
