Reality In a Mirror

by Aurora   Dec 1, 2008

Your white teeth smile,
smile through the pain.
Lie as you choke
on your words so vain.

Your blue eyes see,
see right through the smoke.
Listen as you hear
your life turn into a joke.

Although you never plead;
Although you always agree;
I see right through your wall,
just as clearly as you see me.

Pretentious and smug;
Your friends lead your way.
You have a lot to learn,
but you never have anything to say.

You ask me what you should be,
although you know I can never reply.
You look me to me for guidance,
because you know I can never lie.
