I Heard that you're a Heartbreaker

by Jaklynn   Dec 4, 2008

**Written for a title contest!**

I was sitting in the backseat
Talking to Lloyd that night
He told me not to fall for you
That no flame would ever ignite
And I heard you were a heart breaker

But I ignored Lloyd's advice
And you became more than my best friend
Even though he told me you had been hurt
And that your heart would never mend
So I saw why you were a heart breaker

I know you knew how much I liked you
And you sincerely seemed to care
But all those nights that we hung out
Deep down I knew we'd never be a pair
Because I figured you were a heart breaker

You sent me a message late one night
To tell me about your finally mended heart
You said you wanted to talk to me in person
About a relationship that could possibly start
And I wondered if you were no longer a heart breaker

Your mom called me that weekend
To tell me that you had passed away
And my heart had never been broken
Any worse than it was that day
Then I knew you were a heart breaker

I think back upon all of it now
And don't regret not taking Lloyd's advice
But after all the kid was right
And I knew that fact when I rolled the dice
When I heard that you were a heart breaker

I liked it is maybe the wrong expression, but I really was affected by it =)
It is too deep, too sad to make me like it. But it still was great. Hope you get, what I'm trying to say is quite very positive
    Respect.

Love has a strange way of turning our hearts
inside out...just when all seems to come
    together, love says goodbye..good write.
