True Story

by BornAgainWriter   Dec 21, 2008

I've lied to him for what seems to be an eternity,
He found out for the last time two dreary nights ago,
He's heart broken, I can feel his pain through his words,
I've messed up this time; severely, this I know.

People make mistakes and I'm not tossing it around,
That phrase is so deeply important and embedded with me,
Because I'm a prime example of a mistake; making mistakes,
Even though people think otherwise; That is me.

I promised in the beginning of our world together,
That I'd stick with you through sunny days and cold,
Through stormy weather and through dry days,
I promised you my love for you cannot be controlled.

I still have hope in my almost completely shattered heart,
That you will overlook the bad and focus on the good,
And come wandering from a forest bad in my arms,
I wish this could happened, I just wish it would.
