Never

by KemistryKia   Dec 22, 2008

Never noticed how much i missed you
not until i looked into yesterdays face
all the memories dressed in horrific pain
but drenched in laughs and pleasure

never until i saw your promised changes to me
fulfilled to someone else who wasn't there in the night
a person who was in the alley way of our past
woman lacking of mind but a behind and beautiful words

never had i longed for the closeness of our breath
until i saw what i imagine is second nature to your love
when she locked your lips and you roamed her hips
never had i wanted to touch you before

never had i wished you needing me again
only when i see what you miss in all of me
when i saw her inconsistances and my familarities
did i wish her to her end and our start, again

never did i start to lose all of my sense and common ground
until you stepped into my space creating the quickness of my sweat
how do you hold my heart after all you hurt my soul
how can i see you after that and fiend for your anguish that is guareenteed to me

never had i wanted you
not after all you did
but when i saw you moved on
i almost died...

you hurt me again

I was told that a good poet would know a good poem when he or she stops for that moment of sincerity in appreciation for words of greater meaning from another. For me, I have no idea what that means, but I do know that this poem touched me in a sincerest way. Thanks
