A creak of the wooden floor

by Timothy   Dec 31, 2008

A creak of the wooden floor,
An amble, a bare movement, initiates a great chore;
Able I might be, but I am heartsore,
Destined am I, to be a fool, that is wholly unsure?

A creak of the wooden floor,
Another miniscule step forward, into the decor;
A tear escapes, but inside there is an uproar,
Away, away the emotions begin to outpour!

A creak of the wooden floor,
Why? Why did you leave me with all this folklore?
I must defend your honor, against your very own yore,
But first, I must face that casket, beyond yonder door.

    That was amazing. The words you chose to express what you wanted to deliver came through perfectly. The flow was a little shaky, but the rhyming was very clever, 5/5.
