How She Gleams

by Melissa   Jan 8, 2009

I suppose it was the way that golden star
reflected her light
on Bella Luna
that made me wax for love,
too bad everyone else is waning

I've been searching for warmth
in gelid faces,
kisses
in drunken stages,
reaching for a great bear hug
in sloppy embraces

it's no wonder I'm full of hunger
with all the frozen bits
of honey
reserved for another her

how long until the moon
empties herself
of all color
so I no longer crave
loves rosy glow
