Hands Shake

by StandStill   Jan 14, 2009

You can always turn it up
(tune them out)
but you can't blank out from the voices in your head.
And you can always pretend a little longer,
keep pretending 'til you're dead.

Hold tight to your disinterest
(hope it keeps you sailing past)
'cause you can only look into the mirror for so long,
so long before you go insane.
How long 'til your rights become your wrongs?

My hands, they'd only shake for you
(they're pretty icy cold)
while I pretend to listen to this argument.
You made a promise on a kiss,
but words seem so damn easy to forget.

I'm so tired of these bloody tears
(the ones running down my face)
and I think that now we're over.
Yeah, I sorta wish that we were over,
but we are only just begun.
