The Story Behind Our Eyes PT 2

by BornAgainWriter   Jan 14, 2009

I was told to never give up on a person,
Especially don't give up on a person you love,
That's what I entail to do- not to give up,
Not that I was a quitter of any sorts to begin with.

I'll push through the forests with thorn bushes,
The ones that stab at my waist, thighs and arms,
Some stayed in place and some drew blood,
I hated the fights my brother set me up too.

I guess he wanted to prove his opinion of me,
He began to think I was stupid and a loser,
I was eager to prove him and the school wrong,
Even if those chicks made me bleed.

I won't ever go down without putting up a fight,
Even if I lose- let's let the facts determine that,
Everday a girl would be waiting just for me,
While my brother and his friends watched and laughed.

They laughed at the fact that I sometimes lost,
But that taught me to be stronger then I was,
I can easily stand up for myself and even others,
Even when he sometimes pushed me to the ground.

I was always the doormat and I am even today,
People wipe the shit from their life all over me,
Then they find the back door and walk straight out,
But I'll be damned if I don't get my brother back.
