Even When It's Raining

by ABake   Jan 20, 2009

The weather was cold today, cold as it has been all year. I woke up and the first thought to my mind was, he is simply wonderful. I smiled and climbed out of bed, the start of a new day. It had been so long since I felt his love just by the way he looked at me; Way too long.

He's so far away, but so close to my heart- For once, I think I am... okay with that. I got ready with a smile on my face and a reborn feeling in my heart. Random text messages from him appeared at just the right times, conversations about Obama and what class we are in.

The last bell of the day rang and I had a new skip in my step, and a little too obvious of a smile on my face. We aren't together but that's okay with me, having him in my life again is better than anything in the world.

On average, how many times in a lifetime does a human feel this way? Not many and that is the most amazing part of all of this; The past is the past and it's time for our new beginning. We'll go where the wind blows, even when it's raining.
