The Good

by Purple   Jan 31, 2009

Hidden inside the pain,
Is a happiness impossible to explain.
Glistening in the tears they cry,
Rests hope beneath their eyes.

Tears fall like memories,
As evidence there's something better.
Feeling is seen as a good thing,
Even if it makes sore eyes redder.

The bad is only seen,
When held in contrast to good.
Yet the good is so easily lost.
They have not what they should.

Fallen, they feel the absence,
No good. a blizzard full of snow.
Inside you can see nothing but,
The lack of good to show.

Knowing sight; they see the absence,
Knowing good; they know what they lack.
Feeling just proves there's more out there,
Will to search lasts until it crumbles, cracks.

Hidden inside the pain,
Is a happiness impossible to explain.
Glistening in the tears they cry,
Rests hope beneath their eyes.

Wipe the tears aside,
But keep the hope, to cherish
Inside this salt water lives the pathos
That can lead you to replenish.

Tears fall like memories,
Just a reminder that better exists.
Remember other's thoughts if you must,
From salvation's search you mustn't be missed.
