Move On

by gasping for air   Jun 11, 2004

You may be gone,
But I carry part of you,
Here in my heart,
And always will.
I don't feel the same,
The same as I did when you left,
I hated you then,
And now you?re only part of my past.
You're something,
Something I can?t burry,
Or hide from,
You're there and I needed to face you.
Face you, I did,
It was the hardest thing to do,
But I did it,
And now I can move on.
Forget you, how can I?
But I can accept what happened,
How it happened,
And move on with life.
I don't jump,
When I hear the phone ring,
I don't rush to the window,
When a car passes by.
What does that mean?
You may ask,
It means,
I've gotten over you.
