For the Love of Ducklings

*CONTEST COLLAB WITH TJ BECKER

In a pond alone and bleak tucked away in the forest deep
A duckling with a broken wing he didn't dance, couldn't sing
waters cold he felt alone though many others called it home
In a flock he often wept loneliness his secret kept

Then one day a lady fair, with golden down perfumed the air
Friendship blossomed it did bloom, the sun soon chased away the gloom
He loved the way she waddled by with a gleam in her dark eyes
She'd swim real close and the she'd run the romance dance had begun

Both from very different places, and with very different faces,
He was molting from brown to green, she was a golden beauty queen.
But in love they did find they were both the same inside.

Hearts began to uncover, now that the two ducks were lovers,
Colors seemed so much brighter and weight felt suddenly lighter,
Pond now filled with joyous laughter, and unexpected happily ever after.

    Maddy and TJ,

What a lovely story about finding true love:)
I found something in there that really warmed my heart:)

People are meant to be together, even animals feel better when they have someone to give their affection to.
Someone once said"no man is an island" and I believe these words to be true.

Good work, the both of you!

    *hugs*
