In dire need of rescue, that's when you found me.
Saved my soul, breathed into me life.
Bright blue eyes and a smile to match,
You kept me away from that deadly knife.

We were perfect together,
An unstoppable team.
We'd laugh and we'd joke, have a good time,
You made me feel special, worth something.

Talking to you always filled me with warmth,
And eventually, you broke down my wall
I let you in, telling every little secret,
My trust in you was was without doubt.

Then something changed, I'm not quite sure what,
We both got depressed, no longer laughed, hardly joked,
Conversations turned serious and dark,
The warmth we once shared, was brutally choked.

Now your words are much colder,
The fire has turned blue, we've both changed,
And I've been sadly pondering,
Maybe it's time to say goodbye to you.
