Sometime

by StandStill   Feb 13, 2009

Some nights,
I kiss the nightlight sweet dreams
'cause I'm missing the light
of a day-dream breeze.
And it gets just a little hard sometimes,
to find some warmth
or a cold embrace.
And don't you know
all the things that you never knew,
they aren't no goddam good to you.
So just let 'em go..

And some days,
I gotta hang on a little tighter
to the sidewalk chalks
and your cigarette lighter.
And I gotta say, the feather dreams of a summer day
they're a little easier than this
winter wind.
It just gets a little old sometimes..

Please tell me that
the windchime music's gonna change it's tune
and we're gonna be singing
to a bluer moon.
'Cause I can't keep this pace,
can't hold this rhyme..
Sorta a little sick'a losin' my mind.

Gotta let it go sometime.
