The Discovery of the Inner-Self

by Soulful Ensemble   Feb 20, 2009

Do you want to see me? I'm not so cool.
I've got a bag full of trash that is misunderstood.

I woke up one morning in a heap of art
And asked myself if anyone had a heart.
"No!", answered a voice that came from far apart
"Love's just what you do when you have to fart."

"Well that ain't cool" I said with a rusted voice
At the distant man who practiced his choice
"You shouldn't say things like that and then rejoice"
" Like you said something smart, seemingly poised."

I talked and spoke, and noticed I was alone
With nobody around who could've known
About any distant man speaking from a throne
That yelled out angry thoughts that spun like cyclones.

And then I realized the source of the speech
In the echo chamber where I sat to preach
It was my own mouth, not realizing how loud
The inner-workings of my mind spoke when they went south.

Blissful humour! Starts of with somewhat funny lines but then unfolds into the reality of a working mind! =D
