The Lie

by Jenna Rose Kat   Feb 21, 2009

(Inspired from the book "Scribbler of Dreams")

All the lies are such burden,
All my angels have fallen,
Into a deeper crevice of cheat,
These two families are nearly beat,
The jealousy lives for generations,
There's no time for infatuations.

Lies,
They all started with me,
But now I won't ever be free,
Regret is my lonely friend,
And the feud will never end,
But the one thing I won't regret,
The only thing I won't forget,
The lie that started slim,
The lie that let me love him.

Now these lies are maturing fast,
All because of what's done in the past,
And everyone believes in only this hate,
Am I the only fish who doesn't take the bait?
I know I am suffering from centuries of lies,
But they are hurting too from deceiving eyes,
When will this stop? I don't know,
This burden is from decades ago.
