Heart on your sleeve

by ŦōüċhÌήğ ỀνĬĽ   Feb 23, 2009

She fell for you with the innocence of a first love
Holding on so tight; too tight- swore she would never let go
And every night before she closed her eyes
She prayed that someday.. you would know

The past, the mistakes, your downfalls
She wanted to take your hand and help you through
Because they never meant much to her
You gave her something to believe in; and she believed in you

You put up this wall to those you knew
So scared someone may find all those fears and silent cries
She dared to look deeper
Seeing through the disguise of baby blue eyes

Days only meant something when they were with you
And those days went by too fast
When hours became seconds and seconds were not enough
Each moment becoming something of the past

Every breath, she breathed for you
But you were never one to believe
In something you could not see
Always one; to wear your heart on your sleeve.
