Broken Everything

by ŦōüċhÌήğ ỀνĬĽ   Mar 12, 2009

I could write you a thousand lines
And not one word would mean a thing
You would never remember them
Could not stand the hurt they would bring

If there was ever a way to show you the pain
You would never be able to look me in the eye
And face the replays of that day
While standing on the other side

You turned to stone as I fell to pieces
Watched me break with your cold, silent stare
And without stumble, you walked away
With not one drop of love left to spare;
For me

You stood so tall when I was weak
I guess I got what I asked for
Always needed you to be strong
And strong you were

" I am not happy with you " still echoes off the walls
Blare the music to drown out your heartless voice
Just screams of more lyrics that bring you back
Hoping to find the answers to explain your choice

You broke everything in me, every part
And as I walked alone, forced to look ahead
I tossed those pieces along the way
Making sure that girl you hated was dead

Promise me that she was not your whole world
That you did not love her the same as me
I am only asking you to lock away all the doubts
And throw away this forbidden key

I may be harsh, and I may be distant
But this ache you gave me is something you will never get
And I may not always tell you I love you
But I have never forgotten to feel it

I would of given anything to be your everything
But I was just something you could replace
Still, I will let you take whatever I give
And I will give whatever it takes
