Cold Box

by Purple   Feb 25, 2009

Close the box up
Tuck in the corners
Who will dare look inside
See what lies within

Knives, thoughts, looks
Things easily misinterpreted
From inside or out, it doesn't matter
Cold and calm always appears so little

Drops of rain resound
In rooms that are empty and moist
Lack of something makes it stand out
The solitary is felt most

Little reaction, little worry
But that little means so much
Lack of smile is a frown
For a mouth that smiles don't touch

Cold feels warmth like no other
Open the box and you will find
Some old air escapes dustily
New air inside is found
