No, Whole Are We Not

by Aimael   Mar 4, 2009

To love and to cherish, till death do us part
Sorry to say, love, you've broken my heart
Now loving is nothing, but still, it's a start

Forgetting our crimes is not easily done
Daughters of sin and the failures' son
Still we will try to let go and move on

We don't know our goal and neither do they
Why should we listen to something they say?
Cheers for the graves where all the truth lay

Confusing and broken, no, whole are we not
Collecting, protecting the few things we've got
Open the window, the room is too hot

We're lying here, silent, while love turns to hate
Standing and shouting while closing the gate
Are we now mere broken toys to the fate?

Crying for help when it's nothing to you
Believing, beloved, is not what you do
I hate that you've killed my own certainty, too

A pointless small poem which no one will see
Our fire is over and I know you agree
...Still, I am hoping for you and for me
