Rose

by Dani Ward   Jun 11, 2004

How much I’ve thought of you these few weeks,
I lie at home in my bed staring at the ceiling.
As I think of you for hours,
I get a funny feeling.

To me you are like a rose so beautifully sweet,
you are pretty and you smell good too.
You remind me of natures beauty,
you helped me see the world anew.

You are like a rare and beautiful black rose,
hidden among all the red ones.
People like you are hard to find,
and they make the world divine.

I wonder if I may have the chance to hold you,
to have you brighten my life.
Even if it only lasts a moment in time,
it will be a great moment never forgotten.
