Overboard..

The rain pours down,
Throwing the boat,
Tipping it sideways,
Then back up afloat,
Their screams seem so silent,
No ones around,
He is thrown over,
And she's no where to be found..

Flowing air,
Through my fingers,
Through my toes,
As I fall,
To the water below,
The rope tightens,
Around my waist,
As Im yanked to a stop,
I pull at the harness with haste,
The water around me,
Swirls beneath,
The boat slowly sways,
I begin to grind my teeth,
I pace along the deck,
Looking for those,
Who called,
Along with great stress,
A silent cry,
Comes from the stairs,
I slowly creep,
Then squint and stare,
A small figure appears,
A young boy it seems,
He runs to my safety,
His tears are in streams,
So back at the station,
We ask what he saw,
The young boy cries,
Refusing to say more..

This is so powerful. Your rhyme scheme was perfect, it was just right, like it just flowed so well because it doesnt sound forced and like youve tried too hard. Very well written. 5/5
