Selfish Little Girl

by BornAgainWriter   Mar 18, 2009

You think you have it all figured out don't you?
Like how you're going to sit in another state-
and talk to me any way that you damn well please?
Or how you're going to lie about such and such?

Let's get for real here, and lay it out on the table,
You used me once to get ahead of everyone else,
I was a fool to even accept you back into my life,
You used me twice and here I am, spitting fire balls.

It's ashamed how a loved one can die so soon,
While she was a little kid, but they still don't know,
Exactly what others can go through on a daily basis,
I guess that is where the selfishness shines through.

I use to say over and over again, "I just don't get it"
But I get it now, I get everything about you my dear,
I know exactly what kind of people you play with,
The people who have been broken and heart shattered.

And I remember you telling me, "That's who I am"
Well maybe you ought to just change completely,
Because God notices everything you do and don't do,
Trust me on that if you don't trust anything else I say.
