We miss you dad

You were taken far too young
You were suppose to grow old with mom
You took good care of your kids
And you did well to raise them good
Your life was cut short it was not fair
We miss you dad
Yes us kids were trouble and drove you batty
But you still loved us unconditionally
You used to race motorcycles (sidecars)
You enjoyed that in your youth
But gave it up and moved just for mom
You built our house with your own hands
Hell you were such a hard worker took 3 men to replace you
In the end we watched you fade
We watched you age day by day
In the end you were to tired to walk further
You went the way you wanted to
You drifted away in sleep and left us
We know you were sick and losing your battles
But it still hurts but we know you're no longer in pain
The only thing I wish is that I could have had a hug before you left
The storm consumed you
But you went down with fight
Yes we had fights but we knew we loved each other
Spring is coming and it will hard.
You told us many stories from work, child hood, teenager, all sorts
And I carry your memories everywhere I go I wont forget you
We miss you terribly dad
If only we could have had one more visit with you
So now I place flower at your grave and knowing your in a better place we will meet again one day.
