Vice

by Nonz   Apr 3, 2009

He said it once
never thought twice
Oh, how easy it was
to forgive his vice

submissive she was
forever to his plea
caged by own right
of false decree

sore Destiny
reject thy creed
sour the tree
of bitter seed

restore thy grace
for love of thee
two sacrificed their hearts
for your Majesty

shy from moonlight
her liquid eye
form the ripple
reflecting the sky

a prisoner she was
of ironic chill
forgive the violator
and forget the will

while he, too, suffers
an infidel heart
that beats for her
addictive start

He said it once
yet twice she fell
whose vice it was
now, we all can tell.

    Amazing..
I remember reading this poem soo long ago in slang, and I think now I got it clearer than before, of course I did not comprehend all the parts, will discuss this later with you.

    sore Destiny
    reject thy creed
    sour the tree
    of bitter seed

I deeply loved this part, I can see that inspiration filled you to the bone that you related love and vice to nature and destiny..loved that !

    He said it once
    yet twice she fell

Does that include how we girls fall too easily?? haha j.k Love the picture presented in the whole last stanza, but these lines were my fave.

I didn't know this poem is so good !
    Well done babe
