Try To Knock Me Down

by BornAgainWriter   Apr 3, 2009

Glistening eyes when I'm turned to the side,
Long eye lashes blinking at everything you say,
Living in a perfect world of just my own,
It's just me and I'm doing everything for me.

Talking and flirting with all these different guys,
Keeping my real true feelings locked away,
No one needs to even know how I feel or why,
It's just me and I'm doing everything for me.

I got that baby voice and high note tone,
Singing when the blue birds sit on my finger,
Whistling and going along with their chirps,
Blinking my eyes again when you look at me.

I never thought I'd be loving life like this,
Not even caring about what's done to me,
Forget the past, it's time to move on,
It's just me and I'm doing everything for me.

Keeping all my secrets locked up with me,
But not caring what a person thinks of me,
People can think all that they want too,
It's just me and I'm doing everything for me.

I got cute imagination that speaks louder;
and better than my words can even begin too,
Blowing folks right out of the ocean water,
Holding my heart when you look at me.

Secrets are embedded in my writings,
Don't look to hard, they're impossible to find,
Don't worry about me anymore, I'll do me,
It's just me now, and I just don't care.

But I smile to everyone who looks my way,
Curving my lips up to the bottom of my eyes,
Blinking my eyes for the last time, begore I go,
It's just me, "What ever was I thinking?"
