I'll Wait.

by ForsakenBeautyXx   Apr 5, 2009

My tears splash against the ground,
Like a heart when its shattered,
These broken tears fall without a sound,
Not like it even matters.

I'll wait as long as I need for you,
Because I know your worth it,
Right now your mending your heart with glue,
Not all the pieces will perfectly fit.

I know when your picking flowers,
It takes longer for you to be there,
After each moment I always wait a bit longer,
But thats the consequence I'll have to bear.

Its only fair
I'll just wait for my day.

.....

Take your time with that glue,
And you can go pick the flowers,
I'll just have my feelings and I'll wait here,
Whether it takes days, or hours.

The words remind me of what someone had once said to me, but you know what? He didn't wait for the glue to work on my broken heart. Josh is right, we aren't always able to wait for someone, because it is a difficult thing to handle, you know, everytime he looked into my eyes, he saw his reflection in my watered eyes, ready for the tears, and it wasn't fair. And it ain't fair for someone to wait for something that might not happen, and not just love, no, sometimes, there are worse things than unreturned love.
    Great work.

Nicely written. I can just connect with the poem instantly. Though loving someone whom don't feel the same sometimes we just hope that one day they'll notice us but apparently we need to make ourself more prominent in order for them to take notice of us.Well I just hope the story to this isn't over and I really hope for a happy ending to this.

    Great job for the poem
