Ba-boom

by StandStill   Apr 19, 2009

Sometimes,
no always,
it's a joke.
We sift through each others lives;
crash away from them like waves upon a shore.
We recede
and come together.
I wish I could call it a
butterfly,
but it's more like a jolt of electricity
searing through
the everything that makes me up.
Mostly, I hate you
for the effect, but the shock makes my heart
beat,
beat,
beat,
so maybe it's worth it.
Maybe you're worth it.
But always you're a maybe.
Beat, beat, beat,
just like waves on a shore.
