There goes my heart again

by Beauty In The Breaking   Apr 19, 2009

I told myself I wouldn't fall in love again,
the moments of bliss just weren't worth the pain,
determined to keep my heart from falling again
and then you walk into my life
and you turn it upside down
and there goes my heart again.

I said I wouldn't lose my head again,
it just wasn't worth the pain
and then like the wind blowing through
you stole my heart and took my breath
and it was way to late for me,
I'd lost my heart again.

What a little twist of fate,
you dropped into my life
just when I'd stopped looking for you,
I didn't want to be in love again,
I fought against it oh so hard
but oh, my heart is lost.

I told myself I wouldn't fall in love again,
the moments of bliss just weren't worth the pain,
determined to keep my heart from falling again
and then you walk into my life
and you turn it upside down
and there goes my heart again.

I didn't want to need you so much,
I didn't want you to mean so much
but you stole my heart like the wind
and turned my world upside down
and I just couldn't let you go,
you became my very life.

I never thought that we'd end up here,
that a twist of fate would become my world,
that my heart would take over
and I'd rather die than lose this feeling,
you've become my miracle
and the reason for my very life.

I told myself I wouldn't fall in love again,
the moments of bliss just weren't worth the pain,
determined to keep my heart from falling again
and then you walk into my life
and you turn it upside down
and there goes my heart again.
