Inner silence

by MorbidCupcake   Apr 20, 2009

Twitching, trembling through the years
Collecting all the tears
I've shed in your memory

A hand to hold
A heart to love
A tight grip around my throat
Muscles clenching around my neck
What's next?
What did I do to deserve this?

Sweating, shaking through the decades
Never getting too close
Because I'm afraid to let go

A hand to hold
A heart to love
But pushed away
From all of the above
Between my legs
Lies lack of innocence
A sanctuary run dry
Why?
What does anyone do to deserve a life of lies?
