Love is a fairy tale

Love is just a fairy tale
for you can find it no where
but the children's books
that were read to us when we were little

you end up finding someone
you think is the one
and then just like Cinderella
she takes off and you never see her again

it hurts deeply to know
that love is one of the strongest feelings in the world
yet it is also
one of the hardest to maintain

its almost as if
love only exist in fairy tales
for it is so rare to find
in our reality

love
can it really be real
can you really live with another for your whole life
and call that love

can you say i love you
and think that its going to change things
for him or her

for love is just another word
we humans take to lightly
and seem to not really know
when or where to use it

some think they know how to use it
but they don't
some think they feel it
but they don't

its almost as if love is just a fairy tale...
