Bloodless

by MorbidCupcake   Apr 27, 2009

Ashen cheeks rest on the wooden floor
Sinking into a murderous oblivion
Her head stopped spinning once her skull met the tiny ants
That crawl below in the night

Limp arms lay in ruin
The deep, scarlet fluid will run
But nothing can slow the heavy pulse
Beating in her mind, saying

Just one more. One more. ONE MORE.

And she knows that the metal
Was never for the faint of heart

A body without iron
Is like a bullet without a gun
Cloting in intensity
Without the power to run

Dragging comatose lungs

The metaphors were . . . Interesting, painting a deep and even horrific image. Beautifully (and frighteningly) written. 5/5
