Yellow

by StandStill   Apr 28, 2009

Dream me up a piano dance
where the sunflower world
sashays beneath
a star-filled sky.
You promised me it'd rain
when we got to heaven.
I swore that I'd believe.
And I'm starting to think
that redemption is perhaps
truly where I've landed myself,
asleep in canary dreams
and dark blue arms.
I'm not supposed to think
these things,
but reality and wishes often
collide,
soon learning to
coexist.
I hope that we can coexist.
I like the sunshine of it all.
