A One Night Stand

by Ray Smallshaw   Apr 30, 2009

So there you where in my arms,
With my heart so full I had no qualms,
It was one of those moments when everything calms,
Yet my mind was turning over and full of wanton alarms,

My urge very noticeable by the power deep inside,
It did not take much for me to draw you near and to decide,
I simply said I love you and you knew that I had lied,
Yet your lips sealed mine and you just let it slide,

My hands were now caressing your beautiful breasts,
They were ceaseless with their fondling as I would not let them rest,
We were soon totally naked as you finally removed my vest,
Then our bodies locked in union that was certainly the best,

Our bodies crushed together as we rushed toward the light,
With you writhing in joy and me holding you so tight,
Then we stopped as it was over we had flown our lustful kite,
We dressed then did some kissing and that was end of our night,

I often think back to the instant when I was suddenly scared,
By the fear of us truly being together, well you know totally paired,
As I never seen you after those moments we had shared,
Even though I wanted to ask you if you had really cared.

    LOVE YOUR USE OF "WANTON"

i've always been afraid to use that word.
    maybe i'll write about it?

your poem has inspired me, sir!
