Goodbye by Ray Smallshaw

by Ray Smallshaw   Aug 30, 2012

Look at me now and you see death as all that I found dear died the day I found out you did not love me

The price I paid for love to some may seem great yet I would do it all again,

Just for its illusion as I was safe and happy then and here I am now thinking I have died,

I could say I am distort, disillusioned or that my heart was shattered into a million pieces yet what I have felt is more than that,

My soul left me and all that is left is an empty shell, blow on it and those millions of pieces will disappear in the wind,

Each piece stained by my tears of loss and my hopelessness at what I thought I held in my heart and arms,

I hope you are proud of your achievement, I am now a dead man as without your returned love I disappeared and died, goodbye.
