When Your Heart Is Fit To Burst By Ray Smallshaw

by Ray Smallshaw   Aug 4, 2011

Life gives me a high that makes my heart fit to burst,
Then fills my all with the joy of my being here breathing earth's air and loving its ways,
Everyday is a roller coaster ride of surprise,
The first glimpse of my wife in the morning light,
The look of expectation in the morning of my dog's while they wait for me to walk them,
The smile my grand nephew gives me from his mothers arms when he sees me,
And the joy that fills my heart when I hold him,
The fresh feeling a tropical storms rain induces in my as it lashes my face when I am running back to my home with my six dogs,
Then in the evening the feel of fan aired sheets when my body hits them,
Not to mention the thrill of my wife turning into my arms and her lips reaching for mine,
Even the memory of them all makes my heart fit to burst,
You see life is an endless source of pleasure.
