I sit and wonder
Through the night
If someday things
Will be alright

If the drinking stops
And the yelling yields
If the anger fades
And the secrets spill

Could we be happy
Like a real family
Could we joke hug and laugh
Like there is no end

Or will I turn
To walk away
And live my life
So far away

Away from the drama
Away from the lies
Away from the drinking
The yelling and fights

Distant from my friends
And most of my family
Away from it all
Just to feel happy
